Buffet Dinner at Dad’s

Hubby and I went to Megamall the other night to dine but with no particular place in mind to go to.  He expressed desire for Japanese food while I longed for steak.  Of course,  there was no way to go our own separate ways just for the food we like!  Good thing, there's Dad's in that mall.  Dad’s is a popular buffet restaurant here in Metro-manila that offers the food we want and more.  They serve Western cuisines, Japanese and Filipino food as well.  Thus, we found ourselves amongst the many customers picking the best food choices lining up in different spots inside the  resto.  Quite given,  I went straight to my loved angus roast beef, lengua and ebi tempura.  Hubby feasted on his sashimis, sushis , sukiyakis and other Japanese fare.  There were lots of food choices but I wonder if anyone could have the power to try even only a bit of each.  Ha ha.. unless maybe one is too famished. Eeek!  Well anyway, we filled ourselves just enough to last us until late that night  as we still had few hours to spend for live bands' music in Camelot Hotel's Dungeon Music Bar.  And to cut this short, 'twas one good night out for me. I needed that! Thanks to my date! (wink!)

Shown above are photos taken at Dad's.  Unluckily, my cam turned low batt at the Music Bar. Sigh!

Hey, is this the one called Dads, Kamayan and Saizaki? Something like that? When I was in Manila, I went to the buffet restaurant at Padre Faura in Ermita by this name (cos I was staying at a hotel within walking distance) and I ate mainly Filipino food although they had Japanese and Western food! Your post reminded me of that! : )

food and more food!!! nakakagutom naman dito. pareho kami ng choice ni hubs mo Tita B. When faced with making a choice among different cuisines I would go with Japanese anytime.

hope you're having a relaxing Sunday!

What a great date! I love Dads too, I remember my and my wife sometimes eat there in the same place where you went, Megamall.

@foongpc: Yes, this is that resto you are referring to. Glad to know that you've been to Dad's! I hope you liked the Filipino dishes that you've tried. And hoping as well that you enjoyed your stay here in the Philippines!

Thanks for dropping by and see you again!

@J: Ang totoo, I love Japanese too! Nagaya na rin ako sa kanya. Kaya lang that time, miss ko ang steak kaya ayun! At least we were able to enjoy all. he he..

Trying to be relaxed kahit pagod sa cooking for the day. Pero ganun talaga eh, kaya okay lang!

I'm sure you're having a great day with F. Enjoy!

Nagutom ako ulit kahit kumain na ko...hehe. that's something I miss...yung restos/buffet places na may ganyan kadaming choices...dito I rarely see one na ganyan. Maraming buffet but the ones we tried...limited ang choices...

M said thanks. Bukas pa actually bday nya but it's a Monday so it's going to be a regular day for us...he's finally as old as me...hahaha. He likes to joke around na mas matanda ako sa kanya...which I don't really mind...kasi mas mukhang bata ako....hahaha...

Have a great week....

Hi Beng Gee, I have never gone overboard for Japanese food. But will go for that delicious steak.
And your dishes here looks really good.

And there's live music too I see.
They playing, 'Dahil Sayo'? Ha ha.
Nothing like music to enjoy the dinner with a loved one.
And this place looks romantic too, right ambiance.

Have fun and igat ka palagi.
Lee.

@Uncle Lee: I used not to like Japanese food but I came to enjoy it after so many eat outs with hubby on Japanese Restos. Steak will forever be my top pick though!

Yes, they got singers too who sing ballads and classicals. By request, they can sing Dahil Sa 'Yo too! he he..your favorite Pinoy song. Yeah, nice ambiance on that place! You can date your lovely wife here when you come over to the Philippines!

Thanks for dropping by! Enjoy the day!

Hi Tita! Following your blog.

Ciela said...

@Shimumsy: Yes, compared to other buffet restos of their caliber, Dad's I think is one of the best in town. he he..

Okay, go ahead and eat now at baka mahilo ka na sa gutom! Ingat Alf!

@Ms. Burrito: Welcome to the Blogging world Rylie! It's really good to start early. Lol!

Balak namin mag Dad's, saisaki, kamayan crossover. Tagal na last time kami nakapag lunch buffet. 550 pa nun. Tumaas na ba ngayun?

Ciela said...

@Anney: Ay oo, di nga namin expect na tumaas na pala! The price of the cross over now I think is 645php. (si hubby kasi ang nagbayad ng bill) Kahit Dad's and Saisaki lang ang kinuhanan namin same price din. Anyway, for me it's worth naman!

Btw, am so glad to see new visitors here! Thank you so much for dropping by Anney. I hope to see around again!
