New Year Is No Longer New

I am sure everyone is back on the track of their own normal activities.  Holiday is far way over and the New Year is no longer new.  With the days that passed by, I should have had accomplished a lot of chores around   the house but regrettably, not!  I planned to take all the Christmas decors down since right after New Year, but the tree is still up until today.  There’s an “angel” here about to do the tidying but I’d rather do it myself coz I want to make sure that it is properly kept.  Nonetheless, I’m confident that all will be over and done with before the sun sets.

Hmmn.. allow me to vent a little!  I feel many things aren’t going right  .. here and there.  Am figuring them out but can’t pin point exactly where the flaw lies.  Assessing things and actions occurring around and it only bolster my assumption. Trouble is, I want to fix things up but they’re just not within my control.  Hence, I often find myself depressed.  Nevertheless, I am fighting it off my system.  Life isn’t perfect after all.  It has its ups and downs but whatever the circumstance be, I am holding on to a hopeful tomorrow.

The greater part of our happiness or misery depends on our dispositions, and not our circumstances.

May you all have wonderful days ahead!  Happy as always to see you drop by! Thank you!

Goodbye 2012, Welcome 2013!

In just very few hours, 2012 is about to end. But before we welcome 2013 and let go of the old year, let us look back and reflect.  There had been disasters and misfortunes, senseless killings, and lots of unwanted events that took place,  however,  despite the heartbreaking occurrences, we know we are strong and could carry on. No matter what, 2013 is filled with loads of hopes and dreams.

Media Noche 2011

How was your 2011 New Year Countdown celebrated?  Ours was a simple one sans the usual firecrackers!  I remember on past years, we used to go out of our way just to buy fireworks from Bocaue, Bulacan, the place of original manufacturers of pyrotechnics here in the country.  This year however, we decided to skip them over.  Could the incessant media dissemination on the terrifying possible results of igniting one in some way, affected us?  Fairly, it did! But other than consideration for safety, I preferred  saving some bucks from burning.  Lol!

Our neighbor's fireworks as captured by daughter's cam.
What we had was an effortless Media Noche and videoke-ing that lasted until past midnight. It was a no fuss, no frills family affair! Relaxed and easy bonding, simple  but relatively cool way of welcoming 2011!

Have a wonderful first week of 2011!  Keep smiling!

Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011!

In a matter of only few hours, 2010 will bid goodbye and so is the whole term of the first decade of the century. Yes, another decade is over and done.  How time flies so quickly!  The upcoming brand new year is in a standby mode at the moment waiting to be welcomed grandiosely. Hopefully, it carries with it the peace and prosperity for this country and for the whole world!  And hopefully too, no one will get hurt in lighting firecrackers and fireworks in welcoming 2011 at 12:00 MN tonight.

The past year may have had some humps and bumps along the way but it was generally a good year! It was indeed a good one for me and my family. Hence,  I would like to take advantage of the occasion to thank my family and relatives for the endless love, care and support for each one.  And thanks to my friends (actual and virtual) who make my gloomy days lively and fun just by being there and keeping me company. to my friends online who make my blogging life  much more interesting with every visit they make and wonderful blog articles/photos they share. Above all, a sincere gratitude to our Lord Almighty for all the abundant blessings of health, love, and  peace!

May 2011 be a fruitful year for everyone!

Happy New Year to all!
