Dunsulan Falls, Clark and Subic in a Day – Part 2

In continuation of the Part-1 post with same title, Clark was next in our itinerary. Sis is a passionate   driver, hence, we reached Clark, Pampanga almost in a wink of an eye.  Lol!  We were in Parkson Duty Free Shop way before lunchtime.   Shopping for sporty shirts, little knick knacks and what-have-yous!   Then moved to another duty free shop named Oriental.  I remember having visited this shop more than a decade back.  It was truly unbelievably cheap stuff they had back then unlike today.  Yet, we didn’t leave without a loot even if it’s just a pack of chips and chocolates.  Just to say we bought something eh. We finished rounding the shops at around 2pm.  We wouldn’t have noticed the time if not for our growling tummies.
Went to lunch in one ordinary looking eating place. Likewise, cuisine is ordinary, but tasty and delish!  Not surprising why I spotted a good number of beautiful uniformed flight attendants lunching in one long table. I learned it is the favorite eating place of airline employees in the vicinity.

Next, we passed by the SM Clark.  My ‘tourist guide’ sis, brought me there when I mentioned I haven’t been to that specific SM branch yet just to satisfy my curiosity.  Thereafter, we headed to Subic in less than an hour via SCTex.  When in Subic, it’s hard not to be enticed and be lured to big discount sales.  OC  struck again when I saw my favourite Fitflops on sale together with other popular named footwear.  Hmmn.. partly blaming big sis on that. Haha.. but no regrets. I love my loot!

SM Clark

As we rounded up our day in Subic, sis bought a mouth watering Beef Bake Roll from “S n R”!  The serving was tremendously huge that i was full till the following morning.

You think I was drained and exhausted?  Nah.. not me!  We were up before sunrise the next morning to catch the breathtaking seascape in the nearby fishing village and picnic park.  I really love seeing bodies of water and sis knows that.  She may not know it, but I appreciate all the efforts she throws on me every time! For these and everything else, including the sumptuous food she always prepares for me,  I wanna say "Thank You, Ate!"

Another Road trip to Subic and Angeles, Pampanga

Because of Subic’s proximity to Quezon City, it is usually our choice whenever we want to go on an out of town day trips.  Seems like I really could never get enough of Subic no matter how many times we’ve visited the place. That’s why when my friend, Lyn asked me to come with her and her hubby for a road trip to Subic, she needed not repeat the invite.  We were there Sunday, January 22.  With her behind the wheel, we drove around and stopped by at every nice places her husband wanted to see. If I may mention, Art, her husband has been partly paralyzed due to stroke. Because of that sensitive health condition, she’s been spending all  her time for his total welfare.  She has become the ever loving caregiver, driver and all to him.  Seeing him getting bored at home, she thought of bringing him to Subic and Marquee Mall in Angeles, Pampanga to somehow lessen his ostensibly growing boredom.  I could dare say that he’s such a lucky man for having such a tough, caring and loving woman like her.  If there is such an accolade as the "Best-est Caregiver-wife" (Lol!.. ) it could be her. Kudos to you my friend!

Thank you for your time here. Have a great week everyone!

Good Lunch in Aristocrat, Subic

Still on our long holiday escapade, I wouldn't wan't to miss posting here the long delayed lunch we should have had in a park in Subic Bay Freeport Zone. Since my sis had already prepared food for our Iba beach outing but Iba was yet way too far for lunch, we thought of stopping over in Subic and just bring out the food my sis had packed.  We drove around looking for a nice place for our impromptu picnic but couldn't find a good one.  I was already very hungry then. Thus, when I saw the Aristocrat Resturant from afar, I asked the group if they want to eat in Aristocrat instead.  Almost in chorus, they responded affirmatively. So, we were in Aristocrat in no time.  If my memory serves me right, we were also there last year after our Potipot Island Holy Week vacation.  Likewise, the many times before,  everytime we drove to Subic.  Seems like we're becoming a regular patron of this restaurant.  Maybe because we love their food and the cozy ambience. Above all,  prices are fair and affordable.

Calamares

Chicken barbecue with java rice

Fried chicken

Laing  (Taro leaves in cocnut milk)

Pinakbet.
The food above are few of our favorites.   Try them whenever you visit Subic Aristocrat.  You'll surely ask for more.  ( this is not a paid advertisement although I think should get paid for all the nice things I wrote here.  haha!!)

Soothing Subic

As mentioned in my previous post, our weekend destination was Subic, (…again!) This time around though, we spent the day in one of the unimposing fine beaches inside the Freeport Zone named All Hands Beach Resort. It’s my second time to visit the said resort since 2001 and I saw some beautiful additional renovations around. Glad to find that the clear blue waters haven’t been muddled together with its almost white fine sand. The waters is as sparkling clear as it was many years ago. We enjoyed our dip in the lukewarm water which is devoid of sharp corals that usually hurt swimmers. The surroundings is thoroughly maintained and being watched over by many staff. I would have loved the place if only for it's steep entrance fee of P150.00 for adults and P75.00 for kids, aside from the Nipa Hut charge of P1,500.00. How wrong to think that we will find low cost resort fees because it’s lean season. Not on this beach resort! Anyway, it was a wonderful day and we had fun. It was all that matters!

Going Back to Subic

I ought to sleep early tonight coz tomorrow we’ll be on the road to Subic before the sun rises. Yup, we’ll take a break from the hustle and bustle of life. It’s been a while since our last trip to Subic where we didn’t have enough time to at least wade by the beach.. This time around we plan to hit it off to one of the beautiful beaches that can be found inside the Freeport Zone. Been so busy the whole day to make some food preparations for tomorrow. I don’t think it would be a problem anyway. We could buy food anywhere along the way or even inside Duty Free shops. My eyes are drooping now. Got to go!

A Day at Subic

Few weekends ago, we went to Subic with my family, and some in-laws. It was yet a bright sunny day so we were able to enjoy once more the peaceful surroundings of the Freeport Zone. We had a little shopping, and a lot of eating. Lunch was in Aristocrat Restaurant, snacks at the park, and dinner in Bale Kapampangan in San Fernando, Pampanga.

Here are some shots we took:

The SCTex to Subic

The Resto at the Subic Park

A swing at the picnic site.

Lots of geese roam. These were just few of them.

A good rest after a filling meal.

The facade of Bale Capampangan Resto.

Food line up for buffet dinner.

The interior of the B.C.

Good food matched with good music.

This is a very delayed post. But as the saying goes "Better late is still late." he he..
