Something good out of scrap

If you’re gonna ask what occupied my time all these week,  I’d say nothing  has changed a bit.  I spent each day doing the laundry and fixing bits and pieces in the house plus looked after the cabinet maker who fixed our old TV cabinet.  The new TV doesn't fit well with the old design so it needed some alterations.  I thought it would take him one whole day to work on that TV table but I was amazed when he was over and done with in just few hours.  With much time remaining for the day’s contract, I saw some pieces of woods dumped in the garage and ask him if he can make a center table out of it. I gave him my design and surprisingly, he finished it in the remaining half of the day.  I was quite impressed with the work so I gave him a little extra.   Can’t believe a fine and sturdy center table can still be produced with those scrap pieces of woods.  Nice feeling to be praised  for some good ideas created and finding one good carpenter worth recommending to friends.

It's past 2am now, got to retire to bed.  Good night/morning everyone!

Would you mind sharing your carpenter's details with me? I think I also need some cabinets done here. I hope he lives near paranaque.

Oh, of course I won't mind. Would be glad to help but we are situated in two opposite points. We're from North (Novaliches) and you're from South. I just don't know if he would accept work far from here. With the high transpo fare, I doubt if he'll accept. But I will mention it to him just the same and will let you know if the response is positive.

I love visiting here with this kind of carpentry, I also enjoy and would consider some carpentry works in the house.

Hello Beng Gee, hey...long time no see. How you doin'?
Nice to read of your creative mind and what you got for it. Always exciting when its your own ideas, one of a kind so to speak.

Yes, it's good to know a good carpenter, get another idea, then get him to create another masterpiece....
'Centre table..'? Is it a coffee table' or a table for knick knacks? Ha ha ha,,,with framed pics of you at the beach walking out like Ursala Andress in that James Bond movie, 'Dr. No'. Ha ha ha.

Manatiling bata, at laging maganda. Isang masayang araw ang nawa'y sumaiyo.
Ingat kepalagi.

buti at efficient and creative ang carpenter mo Tita B. no wasted time talaga. may ganyan kaya dito? bukod sa ginto ang labor price, nakaka-high blood madalas ang mahahanap mo dito lalo na at kahit may small claims court kung palpak aabutin ka ng siyam siyam. after that experience with a contractor when we renovated our place before moving in, I promised to NOT deal with another contractor again.

have a good start of a new week Tita B. take care.

@Princess Sarah: Thank you! Indeed, I found a good carpenter. Each single hour is worth paying for. If only I can send him to anyone who needs his skill, I would do so, but that would be quite impossible.

Glad to see you again Sarah! Take care and have a nice day.

@Batangala: That's the beauty of technology! It shrinks the world! Lol!

Btw, I had mentioned you to the carpenter, and his response is a scratch on the head. hehe.. I know you'd understand.

@Uncle Lee! Truly glad to see you again here! I haven't done much blog hopping and even blog posting due to overwork here in the house. I guess I'm already left behind from reading the latest in your blog. Will keep up with your posts.

See you again and have a wonderful week! Take care and terimah kaseh for your precious time!

@J: Tama! Sobrang efficient at cretive nitong nakuha kong carpenter bukod sa mabait pa.

Ay naku, marami rin ganyang contractor dito although hindi naman ganyan kamahal, I'm sure!:) Yung inuubos ang oras ng walang natatapos.. tapos palapak pa ang work. Hayy, ka-high blood talaga! Kaya lng dito it would certainly be a big waste of time pag- nag file ng case sa court. Wala din mangyayari.

Have a blessed week ahead J!
