Need to relax

Despite feeling unwell yesterday, I managed to sneak out of the house and leave the mountain high wash clothes in the bin right beside the washer and the towering high folded clothes for ironing. Nonetheless, these stuff never cease to exist so I decided to leave them behind for a while and sought some breathing space for myself. My friend and I took off for our favorite “eat all you can” lunch in our favorite resto then hopped in to another mall and did some shopping including shoes. It so happened that we both like the same style, thus our shoes became twins. We’re both happy for our cute catch and it obviously brings cheers to our weary soul. Well, that’s how shallow we are! Ha ha ha.. A cup of tasty yogurt and chewy pastries added a bit of bliss too while resting our tired feet. Nothing’s like a pleasant day with a friend you’re very comfortable with.

Now, I’m back here in my usual post, facing the music… the never ending pots and pans on the stove and kitchen sink, soiled clothes waiting by the washer, folded clean clothes sitting by the ironing board, floors needing to be mopped, and a lot more things that often times keep my hair stand straight like pins on my head! And oh, I must not forget, there are the annual lab exam results I have yet to pick from the hospital and bring to my doctor. Anxieties get into my veins as I think about them. My, oh my!

I need to breathe deeply now! See you again buddies!

Watch out for the new face of 500 php bill

The current 500 philippine peso bill will soon find its way out. This is the latest buzz from a bona fide BSP (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) insider. It will be replaced by a new face according to her. How would you like to see the First Sisters’ (of the still new and sizzling hot Philippine President Noynoy Aquino) photo being integrated in the new 500php coming out in December of this year? If this is true, I suppose, not too many would be pleased with this yet unpublished BSP’s currency in the making. I think this bit of secret which is still being kept by the BSP authorities will definitely attract massive criticism from all sectors of the society. We may very well accept to see their recently deceased mother, Ex-President Corazon Aquino’s photo being integrated in the current 500 bill along with the existing photo of their father, the assassinated Senator Ninoy. Honoring a deceased President and a supposedly martyred Senator is fair and just. But to include the sisters, Ballsy, Pinky, Viel and Kris in our 500 peso bill will place the President in extreme bad light! No one in their family except their parents, has the right to claim a place in any Philippine Currency! Not even President Noynoy! If I heard it right, the upcoming new 500 bill will have the photo of the Aquino family. I now wonder if I’d see Josh and Baby James on their mommy’s lap. Oh no!! Don’t you think this would be utterly disgusting? I can only exclaim in Tagalog. “Babuyan na ‘to!” (Can somebody please help translate in English?)

I remember how disgusted the people were with Ex-President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s initial project, the launching of the brand new 200 bill with her oath-taking image in it as soon as she became President. I bet, not just few were infuriated! How self glorifying! And now, if the rumor is true, the Aquino siblings are following suit as they are engraving their own niche in Philippine Currency. I hope this insider is just pulling my leg. If not, we are bound to have the funniest currency in the international currency circulation. What do you think?

Charice sings Bieber's baby

I thought she's no special. No extra ordinary. But having seen and heard her being featured in many shows I then found her to be a singer of extra caliber. I saw this video clip from daughters blog and opted to grab to share with you! Charice can sing anything, Even a Justin Bieber cut. Notice how she raps effortlessly! This is an amateur recording yet very captivating!

Small but terrible indeed!

Have a happy Tuesday everyone!

No good mood

zwani.com myspace graphic comments

For a long time, been trying to update this post but looks like no specific idea could come out from my head. Perhaps due to physical exhaustion and emotional turbulence!

Anyway, we’ve just been hit here again by another fierce typhoon locally named as “Basyang” and it left a number of death toll aside from the massive destruction in the different regions in Luzon. There was power failure in various cities of Metro Manila and many provinces in Luzon the whole day yesterday. I must admit that that brown-out spun my head crazy! No music, no TV, no landline, and worst of all, no internet! It sort of added salt to my existing injury! Quite unbearable, so much so that I was looking for a way to get out of it but was refused to, that situation almost pushed me to the brink of insanity and running amok!

The sun is out once again, power is installed back and everything is normal again. But some kind of emotional turmoil is still mocking around here!

This is all for now. I hope you guys have a wonderful sunshiny day today!

Tagaytay-Batangas Family Road Trip

It's already past 10 p.m. now and we have barely rested from our tiring but exciting whole day road trip to Tagaytay City and Nasugbu, Batangas. We met with my sister and her family at Pancake House in Tagatay and then proceeded to Caleruega in Nasugbu, Batangas. This place is more or less 2 hour drive south of Manila. I've heard of this place many times before as it was the place where the weddings of many local celebrities took place. It is one picturesque site and could be very romantic for lovers. My US Navy nephew, who just arrived from Seattle, Washington last night seems to take advantage of the seemingly honeymoon ambiance with his lovely wife and cute li'l daughter. The place is truly worth exploring for it has many hidden magnificent views. Greens and blooms abound all around as you trek up and down the hilly roads. If feet ache, there are benches to rest on while Kois can be relaxingly viewed swimming on the pond down below. It is not surprising why Caleruega is the wedding dream location of many. The chapel is on top of the hill overlooking the greenery of the mountain side with well manicured lawns and gardens. We hardly noticed that we haven't had lunch yet though it's almost 3pm due to the very enjoyable trek. Niece-in-law suggested Sonya's Garden for lunch but ended up just buying bakes and delicacies. The place is serving too many customers so we decided to look for another comfy restaurant; We found La Trobador which is overlooking the refreshing Taal Lake and Volcano. We feasted on grilled seafoods, bulalo, and other yummy native dishes. Just like in many other native restaurants we've been to, they have singers who serenade the customers while eating. This time though, we requested for music of Lady Gaga and not the usual Filipino songs we used to hear. Surprisingly, these singers in native attire knew every single pop songs we requested... and the best thing was, they really sang well!

This Tagaytay/Batangas road trip left us craving for more trips. Sadly, my nephew and his family can't be with us anymore as they would be leaving for Washington, USA on Friday, July 9th. Anyway, we had a whole day of fun with them. With God's blessing, we'll gonna see them again in two years time. Bon Voyage Noel and Iya!

Another beautiful day is done! Time to retire to bed! See you around soon. Goodnight everyone!
