Things to Do while Visiting Plano Texas


Any plan of visiting Plano, Texas?  Plano, Texas is a wonderful town 30 minutes outside of Dallas.  Fabulous as it is, however, it doesn't get half of the respect it deserves.  Plano offers a wide array of entertainment and activities that will please everyone no matter what age or interest.  Don’t believe it? Get Educational
Plano is home to various museums that are both educational and entertaining. The Heritage Farmstead Museum, for example, is located inside an 1890’s Victorian farmhouse that was once the home of the Plano settler family. Visitors can explore the house, while live demonstrations and interactive events show you what life was like back in time. The Heritage Farmstead Museum has various events throughout the year, such as pumpkin picking and trick or treating in the fall and Holiday-themed activities in December. Keep this in mind when planning your trip.

Do Some Shopping and Grab a Bite to Eat
The Shops at Legacy is more than just a shopping center. It is tree-lined streets designed to give visitors a unique and fun experience. You will find coffee houses, a movie house, entertainment venues, and trendy boutiques. The shops at Legacy will exceed your shopping expectations. As you continue to stroll down the alleys, you may come to Baccuss Park, which is home to the Baccus Cemetery and a historical landmark.

Plano is also home to a large selection of eateries that ranges from high quality seafood restaurants in Plano to some of the best burger joints in the state. You won’t have a problem finding something to whet your appetite in Plano.

Take in some Art
You may not know this but Plano has an art scene that would delight anyone interested in this creative field. The ArtCentre of Plano, which is located in the downtown historic area of Plano, is a non profit art exhibition center that is located inside a 20th century Victorian mansion. It hosts a wide array of exhibits, which change throughout the year, and the ArtCentre works tirelessly to support the growth and development of local independent artists. Along with exhibits, you can sign up for classes, attend lectures, and take part in their abundance of cultural events.
