Weekend Lunch Out

We had an impromptu family lunch out yesterday.   As hubby returned from his 4-day work assignment in Leyte, he asked us to get ready for a lunch out with my MIL and SIL.  The three of us promptly complied with and within minutes, we were all set to go.   We picked up MIL and SIL at the latter’s place then we headed to SM North.  Daughter expressed she’s already sick of  Chinese food.  I had steak in mind but knowing that MIL is eternally fascinated with Filipino food, it was Barrio Fiesta again for us.  “Never mind the bad experience before”, hubby insisted.   What ‘s important is the good food.  And so, it was "Hello again, Barrio Fiesta!"

No more fried chicken this time around. Lol!  First time to order Sinalab (grilled squid, prawns, crab, oysters, mussels,  pork spare ribs, chicken plus fresh seaweeds) served on a big tray. It was a hit just like the Crispy Pata, Kare-kare and Bangus Sisig.  For everything we had including 2 platters of rice and 1.5L Pepsi, and 2 cans of San Mig Pale our bill amounted to only PhP2,300. more or less.  For the good food in big servings sans bad crews, Barrio Fiesta is highly recommendable to foodies out there!

Sayang nga Noel! To think na nawalan ako ng part ng fried chicken, ikaw pala buong meal ang nasayang. hehe..

Go and have crispy pata! Hinay lang nga coz it not healthy di ba? Pwede naman i-enjoy if once in a while lng.

Have a great start of the week!

How I miss our food! I wish may ganyan dito...at that price. Dito mura na ang $100 [for the 3 of us] when we go to a place na hindi fast food. Kaya di ko type kumain sa labas eh....kamahal dito! hahaha....

Heniwey...I think yung ulan nyo dyan nag travel pa punta dito kasi inulan kami today...and yesterday and the days to come ata.

have a good week Ate Beng!

Hala, super mahal naman pala kumain dyan sa labas Huling! Baka naman may sahog na ginto yung food. Lol!
Buti na lang dito kahit papano affordable pa rin kaya once in a while pwede ang dine out.

Haha.. kaya pala bright and sunny dito napunta sa inyo ang ulan! Kaso lang sa gabi naman malakas ang buhos. At least I was able to hang dry the washed clothes. :)

Stay beautiful as always, Huling!

Hi Beng Gee,

I was OK until I read your post, and now I'm getting hungry -- and I just ate dinner a couple of hours ago! This looks awesome. I really miss authentic Filipino food and Barrio Fiesta is great... I'm envious! I'm sure you all enjoyed.

All the best to you and your family!

Sorry Buzz if I made you hungry! Lol!
Don't be envious coz I'm sure you can always ask the beautiful wifey to cook Pinoy foods for you!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a lovely day!

Seafood Island also offers great Filipino cuisine. They have boodles too for the whole family.

Nothing beats our own authentic dishes!
