Leading Men: A Handful of Humorous Quotes by Actors

We've watched them on our television screens and seen them in films. They generally have to recite lines that other people have told them to say, but once you strip away the scripts and ask celebrity men a few questions, chances are they're going to come out with a few humor quotes that will tickle your funny bone. Let's check out a few of the top quotes from some of the world's leading men.

"Politics is supposed to be the second oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first." - Ronald Reagan

Before he got into the world of politics and rose to become President of the United States, Ronald Reagan was an actor. This put him in good stead for being put on the spot with questions. He always knew what to say, and here is one such instance of when it paid off.

"First the doctor told me the good news: I was going to have a disease named after me." - Steve Martin

He doesn't look like leading man material, but lifelong comic Steve Martin has starred in a number of leading man roles. He is best known for his roles in The Jerk, Planes Trains and Automobiles, Fatherhood and Father of the Bride. He also knows how to put an audience in stitches when he delivers little one-liners like this.

"People who read the tabloids deserve to be lied to." - Jerry Seinfeld

Comedian turned sitcom star Jerry Seinfeld is another leading man who doesn't look like a chiseled lothario, but he still managed to get his own TV show on the back of his stand up. While this quote isn't bursting with Seinfeld's usual razor sharp wit, he raises a good point about the state of the tabloid industry.

"My mother never saw the irony in calling me a son-of-a-bitch." - Jack Nicholson

You can almost see Jack Nicholson's devilish grin coming through as he delivers this quote—white teeth, deep smile lines and a little chuckle to finish. He must have made this face at his mother at least once, particularly for her to deliver a barb like "son of a bitch" to her own flesh and blood.

"Bisexuality immediately doubles your chances for a date on Saturday night." - Rodney Dangerfield

Rodney Dangerfield is yet another comedian who managed to become a leading man in his own television show because he was funny, and like other comedians, a little funny looking. The king of "I can't get no respect" seems to have the right idea about the dating scene here—if only he could tell that to the Ok Cupid generation!

"My children love my mother, and I tell my children - 'That is NOT the same woman I grew up with. That is an old woman trying to get into heaven now." - Bill Cosby

Bill Cosby (aka Bill Huxtable of The Cosby Show) is also the author of books on growing up and starting a family. He has a point about his mother—when mothers turn into grandmothers, they start to lay on the sweetness! Top actors and comedians are always good for a laugh, as this list shows. Imagine what these guys could do in a room together? If walls could talk, they'd laugh!

Charice sings Bieber's baby

I thought she's no special. No extra ordinary. But having seen and heard her being featured in many shows I then found her to be a singer of extra caliber. I saw this video clip from daughters blog and opted to grab to share with you! Charice can sing anything, Even a Justin Bieber cut. Notice how she raps effortlessly! This is an amateur recording yet very captivating!

Small but terrible indeed!

Have a happy Tuesday everyone!

Online Casinos for USA Players

Are you an Online Casino fan? I, myself hasn’t tried it yet unlike my US based friend who is so fond of online games including casinos. I was told that he is smitten by it because he used to win a good sum from it apart from being entertained while he is away from his family. However, according to him, his online casino playing has been blocked due to some regulations that US players are banned from playing. I bet he hasn’t heard of the USA Online casinos, the gambling portal that accepts players from any US state with No Restrictions. Casinos like the Big bonus casinos, free casinos and language casinos have been examined and analyzed to guarantee they are trustworthy and safe. My friend is now pretty happy knowing there are Online casinos.

An evening of rockin’ and rollin’

-->

Last Friday, the accommodating (ahem!) other half of mine conceded to my whim over again. I was promised an evening out so I took it seriously and marked my calendar for the Friday date with him. TGIF came and I was already preparing for our night out when I thought of calling him to confirm where and what time we would meet. But the enthusiasm turned into disappointment when I learned that he was about to go out with his colleagues(again!). It was a total bad trip! “No way!” I told myself. I was very upset but I don’t want to sulk in one corner and spoil my time, while he paints the town red.
“Meet me at the usual place. I’m about to leave now!” was my text message to him. When I arrived at the place, he was already waiting. Hurray! My anticipated “night out” materialized though in a shot gun manner. Ha ha. Who cares?! He supported my whims and didn’t become a KJ anyway. I’m happy with that! Otherwise I’d be nuts!
He asked where I want to eat and the usual food that comes to my mind is Chinese, specifically Peking duck that time. So he parked at Lutong Macau in Jupiter St. (we're in Makati City). We ordered half of Peking duck which was partly to be eaten with wraps and half I thought was as is, plain roast. But it turned out differently which I didn’t like as much.

Peking duck cooked further for lettuce wrapping..

After the Peking duck dinner, we proceeded to RJ Bar only few blocks away. We were to go to Merk’s Bistro and Bar in Greenbelt-2 but I changed mind when I learned it was RJ’s night. As early birds at the bar we thought of leaving the place for a while. but the crews informed us there’s only one table left unreserved and we may lose it. Not wanting to miss the surviving table, we stayed on. It wasn’t long when guests flowed in and the place suddenly became full packed. We even overheard few arguments over reserved tables. Ha ha..!
Everyone wanted to be accommodated simply because it was RJ’s night. I spotted some celebrities and socialites on the dance floor. Their faces I knew but can’t recall the names. Though we didn't boogie down the dance floor (scared to be caught on tv . he he.). I was keyed up with the hip sound. It was a lively rockin’ and rollin’ night with the young and the olds alike.

The crowded dance floor.

RJ's music is revitalizing! I really enjoyed a lot! I'm now toying with the idea of utilizing my imaginative shot gun again if deem needed! ha ha..

'Hope you guys are having a good week. Thanks to all for the time spent.

RJ Bar: Plays the music for the young once

I will use again the over used phrase. …how time flies so quickly! Who would think that this oldie mom used to frequent Folk Houses and Discos in her heydays. Lol! It seems like it wasn’t too long ago when almost every night of the week was spent in different Discos and Music Bar in town like Stargazer Disco in Holiday Inn Hotel(was it Silahis then?), or Siete Pecados in Philippine Plaza Hotel, or Circuit Disco in Regent of Manila and in practically all the popular night places in town. (Not forgetting the very significant Boccassio Disco in Bayview Hotel). I could only sigh as I reminisce that time of my youth. I was yet in my early twenties and life was all fun and excitements. How silly I was to think that life will forever be that way, coming home with bouquets of roses and boxes of chocolates and RCPI telegrams. Ha ha ha…! Perhaps you’d wonder how the hell did I afford those when I was just a lowly ordinary office employee then. Simple! My friends that time were working in Bureau of Customs.. I’m sure you know how easy money was (or still is for that matter) for Customs people.

Other guests on the dance floor.

Well, well… those were the days and given that I was used to it, I tend to miss it. I’m glad hubby could find time to date me out on similar places. (Coz if not, he knew, I’d run amuck. Lol!) So, last Saturday we went out of the normal routine and had fun in RJ Bar in Makati. The place fits those young once like me coz they play the music of the 60’s and the 70’s. I want to emphasize though that 60’s is not my era. Lol! Anyway, I enjoyed the music so much! I wasn’t able to control my feet, so I pulled hubby to the dance floor and swung the night away. We went home hour after midnight and I feel young again!

I'm Hooked with PBB Double Up

PBB Double Up Opening

On the initial showing of the Pinoy Big Brother Double-up Edition last week, I thought I won’t be interested in the new show. I was watching the new batch of Housemates being introduced one by one and I didn’t see anything fairly interesting in anyone of them. But after a week’s showing and after introducing another 10 housemates, I begun to feel the excitement each night that I watch the show especially with the tasks given to the real married couple Jimson and Kath along with Patrick and likewise to the other supposedly “in a relationship” Rob and Rica, which incidentally, is a transvestite. PBB staff knows exactly how to inject thrill and excitement on the show. But Melai definitely, has already stolen the audience’s attention. She’s another Pokwang in the making and maybe even better. I am definitely hooked with the show now, such that all I am waiting for every night on TV was the wrapping up of all the telenovelas so I can already watch PBB Double up Edition.
